I swear, this jackass is the single biggest argument in favor of the militant separation of church and state:

This old fart cannot keep his ass out of trouble for more than a few weeks. He is a blathering idiot and a blatant bigot. There are children being raped and murdered at this very instant, yet this jackass is allowed to continue breathing. Whatever happened to frontier justice? I would be more than happy to engage in a duel with senor Robertson. He has lost his grip on reality.
Let's examine "the facts of the case" for a moment, shall we?
- Robertson is a blubbering madman who thinks he is the voice of God. The rest of the thinking world believes it is late onset schizophrenia.
- Robertson faulted Sharon for withdrawing settlers from Gaza and parts of the west bank, thereby taking a significant and meaningful step towards peace in Israel and justice for the Palestinians. I guess good old Pat wants the Israelis to continue suffering in a war-torn nation, and he wants the palestinians to continue suffering and being homeless.
- Robertson suggested it was divine intervention which caused Sharon's strokes. That is sheer delusion. Sharon is 77 years old, weighs a svelte 300+ pounds, and is the successful leader of the world's most embattled country, which has got to be a mildly stressful position,to say the least. I'd say Sharon had the cards stacked against him already in the stroke-related arena.
No wonder the world hates us. Robertson's callous and cowardly remarks resonate around the globe the same as do those of the Iranian president. We export our way of life all over the world, and get confused when people don't want it. Part of that way of life is this idiotic acceptance of the protestant right. Their ignorant sermonizing and substantial misinterpretation of the Bible pose the largest threats to our national safety. Not terrorists. Pat Robertson, Jerry Fallwell, and their ilk are far worse than terrorist leaders, because they commit horrible acts under the banner of Christ.
Robertson likes to go cherry picking through the Bible and live in judgment of the parts he can use at that time. He never seems to mention that the only time Christ himself ever got angry was at businessmen. Robertson is a multi-millionaire. I guess it worries him a bit that his savior would be displeased with his bank statement. Oh, and never mind that little bit about rich men, heaven, camels, and the eyes of needles. That doesn't affect Pat. He's only as pious as Rupaul in Rio. If God did go on an earthbound smiting kick, Robertson and his jet-set would be the first to go, because they commit the most egregious sin of all. They take the lord's name in vain as a matter of lifestyle.
Off with their wretched heads.
